| Guys I need some help regarding a personal situation I've had over the last several months regarding someone owing me money. This particular person has been a friend to me in the past, active member on this forum, and an active member on a forum I own. This person lives approximately 3 hours from me, so contact on a regular basis does/did not happen. Now onto the situation: Several months ago, an unfortunate situation happened to this individual's car. They were in need of some parts that I had in my garage. I just happened to be traveling on business to the same town this person lives in, the same week he contacted me. I figured I would do him a big favor by delivering the parts, saving him time and money. So we meet up on a friday evening, he doesnt have money, but assures a paypal is coming the following week. We talk cars, bs, life, etc, and say goodbye A few weeks go by, I havent heard anything from this person. I give them the benefit of the doubt, and wait. A few more weeks go by, and I am on my way back down to the same town he lives in for a large car show. Just so happens that his car is back on the road, equipped with the parts I 'sold' him, and entered in the car show. He insists that the recent misfortune with the car had set him back financially, more than he thought, but assured i would be seeing money soon. I wait another month, still have yet to hear anything back from him. In the meantime, he has stopped posting anything on my forum (was previously the 2nd highest posting member active, even more posts than me on my own forum) I make several calls to his phone with no returned calls. Time passes and I decide I'm tired of being owed, so I place another call, expressing the fact I'm upset about the situation, and I just want it to be made right. I accuse him of ducking out, considering the lack of participation on my forum lately. I finally get a call back, insisting that isn't the issue, and that he would be sending 1/2 the money this week, and 1/2 the money next week (mind you, the TOTAL is only $300 dollars) Now here we are, its October, and I initially delivered the parts in May. I still have yet to receive any kind of communication since he last told me he was paypalling me ~2 months ago. I see this person actively posting FS adds on this website, and doing other business, yet I am getting the cold shoulder. I'd like to see some suggestions on how to approach this And if the person responsible for this, reads this thread, you know what you should be doing. I am just asking for things to be made right, is that too much to ask?
